welcome
Chenise Sinclaire is dedicated to empowering survivors of narcissistic abuse through insightful content, real-time support, and transformative guidance.
This checklist is not surface-level advice.
It is a direct extract from Module One: Understanding Your Situation and Narcissistic Abuse inside the How To Actually Leave a Narcissist Guide.
Specifically, this comes from Week One — where you begin to understand what you’ve been experiencing, not just emotionally but psychologically.
What you’re reading here is the foundation of the work.
You can feel it. Something isn’t quite right. But every time you try to explain it, it gets minimised, twisted, or turned back onto you.
So you start questioning yourself again instead.
This checklist was created for that exact moment.
Inside, you will be guided through a series of simple but confronting questions that help you gently uncover patterns of control, manipulation, emotional abuse, and confusion that are often designed to keep you stuck.
Because narcissistic abuse doesn’t always look like what you think it should.
It looks like:
second guessing yourself
walking on eggshells
missing the ‘good version’ of them
feeling drained but not knowing why
This is not a diagnostic - this is clarity.
A private, safe space for you to see your reality written out in front of you without interruption, without being dismissed, and without someone telling you that you’re ‘overreacting’.
At the end, you’ll also be guided through reflection prompts to help you process what you’ve uncovered and begin reconnecting with your own voice again.
If even one question makes your heart chest tighten, that matters.
You’re not imagining it, and you’re not alone.
You don’t need to have all the answers yet.
Just start here. This is where everything begins.
Only if and when you feel ready.
Most ardently,
Chenise Sinclaire.
A guided system designed to bring you back to yourself.
Not ‘someday’ or when life ‘calms down.’ But in the middle of everything you’re already carrying.
This is not a traditional journal and it’s not something you “complete” once and forget.
This is a system you return to, again and again, to recalibrate, ground yourself, and rebuild who you are from the inside out. It is something you build a relationship with.
What This Actually Does
Women don’t need more advice. We need something that holds us together on the days we feel scattered, disconnected, or not like ourselves.
The Self-Return System is designed to:
help you reconnect to yourself when you feel lost or overwhelmed
bring structure to your thoughts, emotions, and patterns
guide you back into alignment without pressure or perfection
create self-trust through consistent, honest reflection
But more than that; it helps you see your life clearly.
Because often, what’s keeping you stuck isn’t just internal; it’s what you’re surrounded by.
Your Life Audit System
This system includes a built-in audit framework for your relationships and environment across every area of your life.
You’ll be guided to gently assess:
the people around you
your emotional environment
your habits and daily patterns
where you feel safe vs where you feel drained
where you are aligned vs where you are abandoning yourself
Not through harsh judgement, but through honest awareness.
This allows you to identify:
what is supporting your growth
what is keeping you stuck
what feels misaligned, even if you’ve been ignoring it
Because you can’t return to yourself while staying fully embedded in environments that pull you away from who you are.
How To Use Her
This system is designed to be used repeatedly, not completed once.
You don’t “finish” this journal; you build a relationship with it.
Each section gives you prompts, structure, and guidance you can return to whenever you feel:
disconnected
triggered
stuck
unsure of yourself
or in need of clarity
For best results, handwriting is recommended.
But this digital version allows you to use it anywhere — privately, consistently, and in a way that fits your life.
Who This Is For
This is for you if:
you feel like you’ve lost parts of yourself
you struggle to stay consistent with routines or journaling
you overthink but still feel unclear
you feel affected by the people or environments around you
you want to feel grounded, stable, and in control of yourself again
This is not about doing more than you already do; It’s about coming back and becoming aware of what’s been pulling you away.
What Makes This Different?
This is not a “prompt journal” and it’s not just reflection for the sake of it.
This system is built around three core practices:
Awareness — understanding your patterns, relationships, and emotional responses
Regulation — learning how to hold yourself steady instead of spiralling
Return — actively bringing yourself back to alignment, again and again
And unlike most journals, this doesn’t just focus on your inner world. It helps you assess your external world too so real change can actually happen.
Digital Format
You’ll receive:
A write-on PDF (for apps like GoodNotes, Notability, etc.)
A fillable PDF (for typing directly on your device)
You can use this on:
iPad or tablet (with stylus or typing)
phone or laptop
any PDF-supported app
This allows you to use the system privately, anywhere, at any time.
This Is Your Starting Point
You don’t need to have everything figured out, you don’t need to feel ready, you just need somewhere to begin returning to yourself and the awareness to see what needs to change.
Each platform offers a unique experience; choose the one that speaks to you, or explore them all.
